Sueño Muerto is one of the songs of my first album Ancient Shadows, it is also the only one sung in my native language, spanish. This time the video is directed by friend Serval de Jade (his facebook profile at http://www.facebook.com/dejade) in Barcelona is now filming a video for it. It will delay still a bit but I just came today from shooting my part as a weaver of fates.

Stylism and make up in the video is made by Alassie (costureroreal.com). Eerie yet it was fun.

This time I'm not the beautiful princess of the story, I'm just the storyteller! The princess is a deer lady and well here's a lovely shot taken during the filming of it. Again I insist all make up and dresses are made by Alassie. I am the happy owner of one of her dresses and crowns... so I was happy to be able to wear a lovely black velvet dress this time. But for more... ;-) you'll have to wait :) Now the video edition is the hands of the director as we say, so hopefully soon ;-)

Remember I'm also shooting a video for "No matter what they say" which is a new song, directed by Héctor, theres a separate thread for that. Here i'll post some instagrams, shots, and making of and things and finally hopefully soon link to the video.

The broadcast will be made from my home studio will be very much a solo performance, though hopefully with some musician guests from the band may join. lt will be an intimate little concert where I'll play many of my instruments (harp, dulcimer, harp) in front of the webcam for you and also will play some requests ;-) (feel free to drop a word about it at our forum), and also there will be a contest of a few things to the ones attending. Próximo concierto online el próximo fin de semana (gratuito)

El próximo fin de semana vamos a repetir la experiencia de hacer un concierto online por ustream

Recordad que para ver el concierto tendréis que entrar en la sección de chat/broadcast de la web, también es una ocasión para conocer otros amigos y oyentes, el chat será bilingüe pudiendo escribirse en inglés o español

Está por decidirse si será el próximo sábado o domingo, también por consideración a la gente fuera de España está por decidirse la hora. En mi perfil fe facebook de banda y personal se han abierto hilos también para votar la fecha y hora aunque también podéis escribir aquí, así como sugerir temas que os gustaría escuchar en directo de nuestro repertorio.

Es posible también que hoy mismo o mañana hagamos algunas pruebas a modo de test, así que si queréis echar un vistazo podéis estar pendientes del hilo, ya que lo postearé aquí.

Upcoming ustream online concert (and of course free)

Next Saturday (or Sunday) as you prefer I want to make a ustream concert. So just pick the day so I can create the event :) and start to organize, still today, later one and quite improvised I may make some tests going live, ;-) so will drop you a note just in case you want to sneak in. So far it's very likely to be scheduled on Sunday. The following days when I gather feedback from users we shall post date and time.

Abbiamo avuto l'onore di scoprire questa grande artista spagnola e il privilegio di parlarvene verso la fine del 2007, quando la cantante e polistrumentista nativa delle Canarie dava alle stampe, tramite la sua Yidneth, il fortunato "Ancient Shadows", eccellente debutto che di lì a poco avrebbe meritatamente riscosso consensi unanimi e riconoscimenti trasversali. Un esordio quanto mai positivo e capace di lasciare il segno, che ha permesso alla Hernandez di maturare ulteriore preziosa esperienza in special modo sui palchi internazionali, con ben quattro viaggi in terra statunitense, anche al seguito di realtà ai vertici della scena come i Qntal. Se dell'arte di Priscilla, oltre alla grande personalità, ci colpì la grande visione d'insieme, perfetta incarnazione ad ogni livello del suo mondo sognante, emozionale e fatato, con un filo conduttore ben definito tra veste grafica, pathos, testi e musiche, con la nuova fatica tutto questo viene magistralmente portato ad un livello ancor più alto e totalizzante, il che di per sé rappresenta già una garanzia sufficiente per acquistare "The Underliving" a scatola chiusa. Racchiuso in un sontuoso digipak formato DVD, il nuovo concept dell'affascinante Priscilla è un autentico viaggio attraverso il suo fiabesco mondo sospeso fra sogno e realtà, cullato ora da una dolcezza appassionata ed infinita, ora da toni più drammatici e scuri, sempre guidato da un pathos cui nessun cuore saprebbe mostrare indifferenza. Un viaggio che si completa meravigliosamente della sua parte visuale, poiché la Nostra è non solo una musicista dotata e capace, una compositrice di enorme talento e gusto ed una cantante la cui completezza e bellezza della voce toglie il fiato, ma anche e soprattutto una magnifica illustratrice i cui lavori, racchiusi nel sublime booklet panoramico di 52 pagine (che include un codice per accedere, tramite il sito di Priscilla, ad ulteriori contenuti esclusivi), sono la più magnifica riprova del suo estro e di una visione d'insieme davvero rara. È sorprendente vedere come un'artista già così matura e capace ai tempi dell'esordio sia stata in grado di superarsi con tanta forza e concretezza, e tutti i 18 momenti che compongono questi oltre 70 minuti (ampio minutaggio che scorre con estremo piacere e senza il minimo intoppo) di arte eterea ai massimi livelli d'intensità emotiva, realizzati assieme al fidato compagno Héctor Corcín, al violoncello di Biel Fiol e ad una serie di contributi da parte di un piccolo manipolo di ospiti (fra cui l'australiana Louisa John-Krol, punto di riferimento per la stessa Hernandez), sono piccole gemme che splendono ognuna di luce propria. Impossibile non lasciarsi sedurre e rapire dagli intrecci pianistici, dal soffice tappeto percussivo, dal pathos sinfonico degli archi, dalla magica perfezione degli arrangiamenti, dalla leggiadria delle melodie, dalle tensioni teatrali che animano i momenti più scuri e dall'immane beltà di una voce ancor più matura, completa e meravigliosa di come l'avevamo lasciata. Qualche concessione in meno all'aspetto 'catchy' (comunque sempre presente, non senza potenziali singoli, come quella "Off The Lane" per cui è stato girato un bel videoclip, oppure come le ottime "Feel The Thrill" e "Through The Long Way") ed ancor più spazio alle pulsioni dell'anima, per un songwriting che si apre a 360 gradi e si completa di sfumature preziose, senza tradire i propri intenti iniziali. Potete chiamarlo 'ethereal gothic' se volete, persino 'new age' come definizione non dispiace alla stessa Hernandez, ma il motivo per cui "The Underliving" è destinato a lasciare un segno nella storia delle sonorità più fatate è la sua dimensione totalizzante, il suo essere un'autentica esperienza audiovisiva ed emozionale da vivere ad ogni livello, in piena evasione dagli orrori del quotidiano, entrando concretamente in un mondo a parte: quello della sua creatrice, maestra nel piegare le arti alla propria stupenda visione. Un punto fermo per chi ama le sonorità da sogno che negli anni ci hanno regalato etichette come Prikosnovénie e Kalinkaland, da contrapporre con orgoglio a chi non crede che un disco si possa definire opera d'arte al pari di un libro. Sublime.
