No shortcut is safe. Off the lane is the story of a girl wandering through the forest. She left the safe path misled by the Underliving creatures, if not by her own unleashed imagination and broken spirit that enthralled by the twisted shapes of the branches seeks for shelter get lost in the dark woods and is never found. No mossy stone will be her grave.

    WHAT IF WE RISE...

                                                                                                                   ...from THE UNDERLIVING?

"The Aftermath" is a song included in "The Underliving", it's linked to other songs "Storm" and "The Wind song" and it is about the stillness after a storm that is perceived as lifeless and how it summons again the wind. In The Underliving the sounds of the wind is one of the ways this creatures communicate with the living.  I played here quite a lot of instruments: kantele, psaltery, flutes, bowed glasses, koshi chimes, hammered dulcimer, jouhikko, tibetan bowl,  oscar tribalthunder, and wind is made with an double ocarina and a windband roarer to create this eerie yet pacifying atmosphere.

A lost girl trapped and confused by the veil of her own world of fantasy. Note: there's a little tribute to one of my favourite movies Labyrinth too. Thanks to Maite Itoiz for being the "veil" I summon to confuse me, to Héctor Corcín and John Kelly my crafted cameramen :). Love ya! thanks for the fun! Filmed in Zugarramurdi and Aralar (Navarra) and Horta (Barcelona)

You'll understand it better if you read the lyrics

This song is based on a shorter one I wrote when I was 12 years old. At that age I found out I was not a girl anymore, I had to grow up and leave the safety of my inner world and start to be aware of the mundane reality. I felt like a captive bird, the bars of an invisible enormous cage around me, but still trapped. My castles fell, my kingdom vanished and I started to be afraid of forgetting all the magic things I had imagined. All around me was new and hostile, boiling with people that couldn’t really hear me, and all I longed was to be back again in my shell. At the end of the song I portray the pacifying happiness of abandoning myself into my own world of fantasy out beyond the furthest end, far away… ©2004

Beware, Beware... this soothing song is the lullaby of a mourning bitter willow that will make you sleep to grab your soul. A ghostly yet bittersweet warning. Filmed in London this video is meant for the web only as we found a nice location but no filming was intended, we gathered this little footage for fun and this was the result!. We hope you enjoy the storytelling though!

Covers

Cover of the theme "Jen play his pipes" from THE DARK CRYSTAL original movie score by Trevor Jones featuring singer-songwriter Priscilla Hernandez playing a "DOUBLE OCARINA" made by instrument maker Charlie Hind http://hindocarina.com and Biel Fiol at the cello.

The Dark Crystal is my favorite movie (and soundtrack) ever. I was blessed as a child given this new world and realm of magic for my heart. Thanks to Brian and Wendy Froud http://worldoffroud.com for designing and also to Jim Henson for creating such piece of art. Thanks Charlie Hind for encouraging me to learn to play the double ocarina (such a challenge!). With gratitude"

Tribute cover of my favorite song in "Labyrinth" soundtrack (Jim Henson, 1986) performed live on voice and pad by me (Priscilla Hernandez) Original by David Bowie (though this is a very different approachment, there is no way to beat the Goblin King so i'm taking another turn to it). This video is dedicated to my friends the Frouds (worldoffroud.com) who participated in this movie and whose magic vision I've shared in Faerieworlds and Faeriecon festivals this year. And all the romantic laby fans that always wished Jareth and Sarah to be together.

Original song by David Bowie. Video edition by me, images belong to the movie (c) Jim Henson. This is a tribute to this wonderful movie, no copyright infringement is intended. I do not own (unfortunately) Labyrinth movie (or Jareth's, damn!)
