More than 4 years after her debut-CD “Ancient Shadows” the Spanish ethereal composer, singer, multi-instrumentalist and fantasy illustrator Priscilla Hernandez emerges back from the land of elves. Next to the album this very artistic release also contains a 52 pages booklet illustrated by Hernandez. This album is a very good reason to continue on buying CD’s as it gives an extra stamp to the release.
Musically, Priscilla Hernandez remains faithful to her ethereal music genre led by her heavenly voice. The music is a collection of gothic, ethereal, pop, neo-classic and Celtic influences. It will appeal to lovers of Louisa John-Krol, but I can also mention Enya for the pure evasive songs. This artist will for sure please the fans of Prikosnovénie and that’s without a shadow of a doubt the label that would fit the best to P. Hernandez. But it all seems that Priscilla prefers to keep her total artistic freedom releasing all work on her own label.
There’re a few sublime pieces on this album. I’m talking about “Thought The Long Way” for its neo-classical touch, “Off The Lane”, which sounds more esoteric like and “At The Dream’s Door” bringing the listener into pure reverie.
“The Underliving” is the meeting between music and dreams or between art and beauty.
