My grandfather, Alejandro Gregorio Rodriguez Torres was born in Las Palmas in 1885. He was one of 16 children. He told me that a brother and sister sang traditional Canary island songs on the radio in Las Palmas in the 1920s. They were the children of one of his brothers.
