Be happy at least that Kira now can no longer feel pain like living things can in the waking world. She is in a better stage of life. I'm sure she is cozy in the everafter, waiting for you. I too have/had a pet I am/was on really good terms with, a horse named Elvis (okay not really a pet), he would bolt and shy away from everyone who ever tried to touch him, but he always looked for a pat from me, he definetly liked me, and no one else.
