Welcome thread: Introduce yourself...! :) and how you got to know me or my art

Hi everyone,

this is Priscilla :)

and I've made this thread so you can introduce yourselves (registered users with accounts in the site can use their login info as before) so you can say hi, show your love, tell how you got to know my music or art, and well if you're not shy you could even get a shot of yourself for the fan pictures section ;-)

You're all very welcome!

ok... I am Hector.... Priscilla's partner, music co-producer... the half in the shadows ;-)

I help Priscilla in her compositions with technical assistance, some arrangements, mixing, mastering... I play with her in the concerts, keyboards, percussions and sometimes sound technical engineer. I take her photos and videos too.  I am the creator of her websites, and I do what I can, a bit of everything. Learning everyday.

I am also a composer but I never seriously released my music. It may change one day.. it is there...

Hi Priscilla and Hector, thanks again for your website, music, illustration and friendship. This is my second attempt to post at this forum as I forgot to press "save" last time. So, how did I discover you? Pretty sure it was through recommendations by others in our ethereal web, such as Keltia from Belgium, or Kelly of Woodland in the USA, and/or someone from the European fey organisation lefantastique or the faery-world label Prikosnovenie in France, that represents most of my albums. We share a lot of other mutual contacts too, in various nations. Fey blessings to your loved ones, especially the little furry totems, living or dead, in Yidneth and other realms. As I dive into Dreaming now, may wings of whispering reach across the planet between us all...

Louisa it absolutely made my day to read your post. :) by the way Louisa is an amazing incredible singer-composer herself and I'm so honored she dueted with me in  "One last Hope" from the Underliving. You can read a bit about her in our collaborators section.

I dream of the day you, Kelly and I can gather for a jam, tea party, crazy music making session :)

Full of fae gratitude, Louisa. And greetings to your furry things back from my fufunchis.

Hello Pris and Hector, and Greetings To All!

I'm Poe, practitioner of technical prestidigitation, and erstwhile world traveler and Goth DJ.

My wife and I had the good fortune to meet Pris and Hector at the first 3 Wishes Faery Festival in magical Cornwall, UK.  Having been thoroughly enchanted by her performance, we bought Pris' first CD package, Ancient Shadows.  At first, we were hesitant to approach her for an autograph.  But, she banished any timidity we had when she walked up to us, started a conversation, and offered to sign her CD for us.  When we moved back to the States we met Pris again, this time at the second FaerieCon, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  This time, we exchanged our contact details and have kept in touch ever since.

Having had some time to get to know her, I can write this: Priscilla is brilliant, charming, and gracious; at once soulful and sprightly.  She has a talent for eliciting laughter, then moving you to tears, often within the same conversation.  Her art reflects this, too.  I cannot heap enough praise upon her second release, The Underliving; the music and art draw you in to a shadowy world where the mist entreats with whispers, the wind howls with warning and, in the darkness, a light of revelation is revealed.  And yes, Pris, I know I owe you a full review of the album. ;)

Poe, thanks so much for your lovely message. Also my big hugs from this side of the ocean. Wow, it's true, you and Amelia and I met in both sides of the ocean :)! then it was meant to be! I suppose :). Thanks always for your gentleness, also for the lovely dulcimer (forever treasured!), for the encouraging words :). I'm happy to say that it's sweeter to have friends than fans hahaha :) specially if the thing ends up by a lovely cherry-tea time. Fae blessings to Tre and oh yes I'd love to have an official review LOL :).

Greetings from Australia, Poe. I heartily share your respect for Priscilla's art - in every sense, from her singing & instrumental arrangements, to her lyrics & philosophy, as well as her illustration and other imagery - it's an entire realm that she weaves and inhabits, which attracts my imagination. Alongside this, she & I share some mutual friends, such as singer-woodwind-harpist Kelly Miller-Lopez, whom I met in Belgium and later sang with in America. It's great that Priscilla and Hector (himself a greatly talented pianist / composer / designer) have started this forum. Although my time online is fairly limited, I'll be calling in here whenever possible to keep in touch with kindred souls of Yidneth. x Louisa John-Krol

Hello, I am from England and I discovered your music on youtube, just browsing for some new songs to listen to and I saw "no matter what they say" which I watched and was blown away by how the video and the music compliment each other so much, usually I don't watch the videos when I listen to music because it doesn't look like how  I imagine it to in my head but your video did  I have only known your songs for maybe a few days but they really are something special, which is why I joined here. Could be on this site for hours- it's exquisitely beautiful

I've performed in England quite a few times, but it's been almost a year we´ve not gone there, still we hope to be able to repeat and we´ll keep you informed. Hi Priscilla and Hector!  I just got turned onto your work when I heard 'In the Mist' on a replay of a radio program called Music from the Hearts of Space on public radio in America.  The piece moved me so that I got the program number and looked the piece up so I could hear it again.  Then, I found your video on YouTube and I was hooked!  I ordered The Underliving and Ancient Shadows from CD Baby here, so I am exploring those works now.

I am a recorder player, so I really appreciate hearing recorders in new and interesting music like yours.

Oh, by the way, I entered my VIP code in my profile, but I am not seeing how I get into the VIP area for the downloads.  Can you check out my registration and see if I did something wrong?

Best regards,

F'Frog (I am more the frog than the fairy!)

Hi, you are very welcome :)

I have forwarded your vip request to admin, it should be fixed now :)

Yes I love recorders, and also whistles, and almost every wind instrument that falls in to my hands. I think one day I want to try with duduk too but so far I play mostly recorders and whistles. :) I am deeply honoured that you found my music interesting enough to check and purchase, and that you took the effort to come and leave your feedback here :)  Hope you stay around ;-)

all the best

Priscilla,

Thank you, yes I am in now!  There is some cool stuff in the VIP section, thank you for sharing the goodies with us fans.  I am interested in a lot of the wind instruments too, but I find it difficult to bounce back and forth between instruments with different fingerings, so I stick with the recorders.  I do play everything from Great Bass up to Sopranino though, so that is a lot of options.  I also like hand drums a lot.  I just got a decent microphone and started some simple recordings, hopefully I can upload some music to YouTube in the future.

Are you familiar with a group called Stellamara?  I bet you would really like them, saw them perform at an Ambient music festival last year along with Stephan Micus.  Micus puts a lot of traditional instruments and various wind instruments to great use, including Duduk, in meditative new age music.  His music is amazingly deep.

Good day to you! I found your music through an online station call Hearts Of Space (HOS). I am awe struck by your compositions. My hat is forever off to you and the people who aid in production/live performances. Speaking of such; is there any possible plans to tour live again? It would be an absolute joy to see the entire group live. I would be very much willing to travel internationally for a concert.

Cheers, be safe and do good work!

Dear Joshua,

We are discussing now the possibility of returning to the States for a couple of venues next year. It is likely but not sure, still we are open and hope it will happen.  We recently relocated from Barcelona to the north of Spain and thus our musicians are now in Catalonia while we are now living in another town, thus except for Héctor and me the band needs to be re-made. Thus I'll be starting soon live performances but first as a small ensemble (2-3 people) until I can re-arrange the whole thing :) I also do sometimes online live performances from our home studio but since we moved our internet provider doesn't support it and we are working on that. There are some examples of live rehearsals and concerts from our ustream channel.

I am glad you found me  and deeply grateful to Hearts of Space for the promotion of my music. You're welcome :) and I'll be happy to know of your favorite songs and your feedback.

Blessings and best regards

Aww I wish I had a great bass :)

I feel very inclined to the duduk, I've been about to purchase one several times. I guess I will do one day.

I happen to know the vocalist of STellamara but only as penpals, as she became also singer of a fellow band Faun (they are friends and we´re performed in the same line up sometimes). So when she came to Spain she was visiting us but it couldn't be at end. Still we have a very friendly correspondence and I agree they are really good :)

I recently relocated from Catalonia to the north of Spain so I need to seek for new musicians. I'm actively recording the third album now but the band itself due to relocation is a bit dismembered now. Without a tour to support finding new musicians, the schedule of live performances is slow except from some random  small acts, but we hope to find a solution for that because we hope and seek to return to stage full-band once more as soon as possible.

Hi Priscilla (and Hector),

I first heard your music on my local northern California public radio station (KCHO, Chico, CA) on a Sunday night on the Hearts of Space program. I was immediately entranced (you must imbue the compositions with faerie magic!), and ordered your CD's directly from your web site. They arrived yesterday. Thank you so much! Yesterday was the birthday of a close friend who died almost six years ago, and I was feeling sad and lonely. Your music seemed to fit my fey mood, but listening to it ended up lifting my spirits! Thanks for the personal note and sketch, too.

I, too, love pet rats, but the lesson on the ephemeral nature of life that they teach when they die, all too quickly, is beyond my capability to learn. I still mourn my last pair of females, Thelma and Loiuse, who died over 20 years ago. You must be far more evolved than I!

Thanks again for everything!

Love,

George Y.

Dear George,

first of all thanks for stopping by to drop your lovely message and encouragement and I'm really happy the CDs arrived safely. Sorry I took a little while to reply, the thing is that now I read your message and I'm deeply moved because these days We have been dealing ourselves with the shock of losing our beloved  pet rat Tuula that finally left us yesterday. She had a stroke last month and she made it back, it was a miracle, and I even posted in my blog. She gifted me one month more of her precious company and she went peacefully yesterday while holding my hand tightly with her little paw. I have no words now to explain the level of my sorrow and how deeply it touched me to come here after a few days and read your comment about your lost ones.  I wish they could live forever but then I must be grateful for the time we have had together.  I hope to read you around and that the music brings you comfort and inspiration. Best regards.

Hi, Priscilla and Everyone. I am Rick and I am Bewitch with your music and voice. I got a album from a friend a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I want t get some more of your music, digital I hope.  Your music make me wonder and dream of surreal worlds and .... hell...  I rather be in those worlds than here. Oh well, I could never say no to a good dream even knowing the emptiness that follow.  Thanks and see you, if not in this world, in the next.

Hi Priscilla and Hector, my dears! <3

I found out about your music in 2006.  So, right when "Ancient Shadow" was first released :) I found out about your music through a Gothic blog (a blog that got deleted but there's a new one called "Stripy Tights and Dark Delights") while searching for "dark faerie" on Google.

I can not wait for "Fear No More".  I have been waiting years :)

Thanks so much for your comment, Fear no More is almost there, as well as some singles and a side more acoustic project as well, trying to get more activity on youtube again too, so preparing some things to fix it :) Our concern is to fund the CD as I want to include the drawings I've done for it along with it but we live already in a digital era where physical CDs are not much in use anymore, but we´ll see, it's really encouraging to know there are people interested. :)

Well I am not sure I need an introduction to you Princess but to Hector hi!

Who am I? hmmmm.

I was just  born to do what I do
And no one cared and no one knew
That inside of me, it was  my fate
To care as much as others do hate
To be as much as my name is allowed
That sole voice singing among the crowd
Of fair-weather friends who come and go
But care naught for real, just for the show
Yet times they are hard when I am on my own
And I oft think of the things I have done
And how despite being nice as I can
No one believes any more in an honest man.
And sometimes it hangs from me like a pall
And I wonder myself is it worth it at all
When so many are content to be used every day
What makes it worth it, to do things my way?
No one believes in romance like I do
No one seems to share my point of view
That to care about people is never a crime
And no way is it love to say all the time
I am your friend, why not lean on me?
I am strong enough, why can't you see?
I'm not naive to think love comes from this
Nor am I still looking for a loves first kiss.
So why put that label. Why say that it's for me?
Do you think I don't know how true love should be?
All though my life I have been a Nice Guy (tm)
Never hurt a soul, never made them cry
But things in this world are unfair and mean
And I tear easily at the cruelty I've seen
But I guess what bugs me even more than the rest
Is I am never given a chance, never taken a test
To show I am just what I always have been
Nothing hidden, perverse or anything obscene.
I am just friend, no other is my name
I am tired of it now won't play any game
So take it from me when I say to you
I was just born to do what I do.

Do I need to say any more? ;)

Hi

It has surprised me to see your poem here, the message boards have been silent for quite a while and this website is in need of a major update, though the shop remains functional and I intend to at least update all the information in it. I opened also a side blog that is not yet integrated (link is up there in the menu) but I wish people would leave a bit rss. and return again to this old fashioned guestbooks and messageboards.... I need to think how to make the page active again.

I believe in kidness, I myself can't recall to have hurt anyone in my life, not intentionally  still I've had my fair share of ordeals... does karma exist? is this world that harsh? so I keep track also of the good things and I just follow my own path, people will walk along with me sometimes, some come and go... but I keep moving forward.

Blessings!

Aye... well I thought I would send something as personal as I could. It is from quite a while back in a different life but the message is true enough. The inspiration came from William Blake when I was back at school and resonated with me till today.

I was angry with my friend; I told my wrath, my wrath did end.I was angry with my foe; I told it not, my wrath did grow.

Bottom line is I find it easier to be honest about feelings than it is to hide them and sometimes that takes people by surprise.

As to your website... I quite like it. I feel it is very you. So even if it is a little quiet, that is just like you to keep something secret and special.

Glad to be part of the community and to share my appreciation.

*hugs*

Ooops!

I'm a friend-fan thingy and I haven't introduced myself! LOL

Hi everyone,

I'm Laura. I know Pris and Hec from outside the computer. From many years ago now. Priscilla, was it at Alassie's fairy birthday? or maybe shortly before that. I've been attending many of their concerts, buying stuff...as any other fan actually :) And I try to be a good friend and try to keep in touch every now and then, at least through Whats. We've been saying to Skype one day but that day never came LOL Probably now that we're obliged to stay in we'll have the chance to Skype/Hangout a bit.

What I enjoy the most is when you do your unplugged concerts streaming, it brings me great memories and because one of the things I enjoy most in my life is listening to my friends singing or playing instruments, as it is an ability that I simply admire.

See ya around!
