My first steps with the celtic harp: video
This is a little excerpt of "Fear no more" a song I've composed in the harp as an exercise to learn to play this instrument. Words have changed a bit since I made the video, and I know, I am not very concentrated in the singing but this was my "first month" in the harp and I hadn't played this instrument before. I always dreamt to have an harp, and this lovely little FULLSICLE harp came all the way from America courtesy of Rees Harps. Thank you very much to Melissa Irwin from harpsicle harps for the encouragement. I've made this little video of my very first steps with it... Practise makes the master and I'm doing in fact now better! I think with time the song will grow to the point I can record it. I still don't even have a book to learn to play the harp, I'm following my intuition, but feels like a sweet companion to me. I carried the harp all the day through the forest (see a couple of entries earlier in the blog) but it was so much fun.

Fear no more (words, slightly different in the video but should be like this)
Fear no more you said
with tender words
Now rest and forget your strife
Like climbing vines your arms enfolded me
Oh I'd hazard death with a smile
If I could only be brave to hold now
the gaze of your fathomless eyes
Every time I fail and hide in shivers
it scares me how profound they are
They make my soul feels fragile
as if it were carved out in glass
Fear no more you said, but should I fear you?
